Mommy brought home a cool magnifying glass with a built-in flashlight for George after a deposition (court reporter swag). George seemed mighty pleased with his new toy until the following exchange occurred:

George: Mommy, did you only bring me one present?

Mommy: Yes.

George (starting to cry): But I like to get two presents!

Richard's 10th Birthday Party

Guess who turned 10 yesterday? I had an awesome party with an ice cream cake and Nerf guns. Thanks to everyone for the great gifts--I love my new laptop and other gifts!

Henry's trophy

Last Saturday we raced our cars in the Pinewood Derby. Henry's sky-blue tow truck won a trophy!

Today George outsmarted Mommy for the first time (well, maybe not the first):

George: Give me some water!

Mommy: First you have to say the magic word.

George (grinning impishly): Alakazoo!
