H is officially a member of the Williams class of 2030. We manifested this when he was 18 months old and take all the credit.

H is a National Merit Semifinalist! Way to go, Henrykins!

Bolder Boulder

H ran the race for the third year in a row and shaved nearly 5 minutes off last year's time, despite rainy weather.

Adventures in Mississippi

H spent a week at an engineering camp in Vicksburg, MS put on by the Society of American Military Engineers. He got to sit in a Black Hawk helicopter and steer a towboat down the Mississippi River. He visited Vicksburg National Military Park and some private engineering firms. His team won the camp competition due to his superior math skills, allegedly. The week ended with a catfish fry and shaking hands with a general from the Army Corps of Engineers. This week, he and Geo are in Florida with the Scouts, so the Southern adventures continue.

H ran the 10k again and shaved 12.5 minutes from last year's time. Way to go, Henry!

Sixteen!

H is now 16. We did our usual Red Robin dinner. He is getting way too tall and always needs a haircut. M misses him as a baby when his hair stuck straight up and he was always shouting.

Baduk brainiac

H has always been more brain than brawn, though he is trying to change that by lifting weights. H recently won his division at the state go championships, so luckily his brain remains strong.

Enrico in Italia

Our favorite 15-year-old ventured out of the country for the second time in his life over spring break for his long-delayed 13th birthday present. He saw the sites, ate pizza that has apparently ruined Domino's for him forever, and came back with nice gifts for his whole family (but did not deign to replace M's beautiful Italian cashmere-lined leather gloves he ruined while sledding). 

Now Geo needs to figure out where he wants to go when it's his turn...

Fencing tournament

Henry participated in a fencing tournament at his club on Saturday and got third place! That is his best showing so far. Go Henrykins!!!

Go

Henry got a new Go board for his birthday and loves it. Thanks, Grandma!

Ten!

Our baby Henry is now 10! He is the king of obscure interests, including but not limited to fencing, playing go, and worshiping Popplio. Happy birthday, Henrykins!!!
