Snoopy and Sherlock

A trip to IKEA for dinner resulted in endless nagging from H to buy this shark. Apparently, it is the star of many memes. While D and H were at the Go Congress, M and Geo went to IKEA to buy the shark. We named him Sherlock. Then Geo moped about not having one so we bought the smaller version. M wanted to name him Watson but got outvoted and now he is called Snoopy (?). M and Geo met D and H at the airport with them.

The apple doesn't fall far

So far, Geo is the most like his father. He likes building things with his dad, has a sarcastic sense of humor, and has a soft spot for gray cats.

He also shares some of his father's culinary quirks. For example, both are known to grind out some salt onto their plate and eat it raw. Geo has also been dipping into his father's very expensive Rainier cherry stash. If this keeps up, we will go bankrupt.

Tabitha!

By now, you should already be acquainted with Tabitha, our purple tapir. We took her to the pool today since tapirs like water. Here are some glamour shots.

Oliver is an owl that Grandma and Papa got for Geo. He makes a hooting sound if you press his belly but Geo won't let us do that for fear that we will waste the battery and silence him forever.

Oliver has a knack for getting into trouble. We lost him for 7 months once. M tore both houses upside down looking for him and worried he ended up in a Goodwill pile. One day, M was packing up the Albuquerque house for sale and she screamed. Oliver was wedged between the twin beds in G and H's room. Too bad he didn't hoot for help or we would have found him a lot earlier. What a scamp!
