Snoopy/Sherlock chronicles

The boys continue to be obsessed with their sharks, though M pointed out that Sherlock appears to be a deadbeat dad because he doesn't hang out with Snoopy. Hence, H is always trying to make it look like Sherlock is a good dad. Also, the sharks speak only German and a language called Sharklish that only Geo can understand.

Labor Day getaway

M felt stir crazy so she dragged us to the mountains this weekend. We went to Glenwood Caverns, an amusement park on the side of a mountain. We loved the ride that was a free fall, but M hated it. We also loved the roller coaster that went up vertically. Again, M was a party pooper. We explored a cave that had no bats, unfortunately. Then we checked out Sylvan Lake State Park.

Baby is 12!

Geo got back from his Oregon trip right around midnight, so we declared it was his birthday. When we got home, his antique pocket watch and chain were waiting on his desk. He is going to use them to hypnotize Snoopy to cure him of his biting habit.

M is depressed because age 12 is when the boys surpass her in height. (Geo has a ways to go at 4' 9" but the boys accuse her of inflating her height.)

Birthday boy

Geo traditionally has birthday cupcakes when he is in Bandon around his birthday. Here are his latest birthday cupcakes and a few blasts from the past. 

Geo (+ Snoopy + Oliver) in Oregon

Geo flew solo to Portland earlier this week to hang out on the Oregon Coast with Grandma and Papa. He brought Snoopy and Oliver for company, as well as his stalwart companion, Softblank. He has been to a fish market and a cello concert so far and is currently trying his hand at whitewater rafting. He will be home just in time for his 12th (!) birthday.

This past week, Geo attended Suzuki camp in Thornton. He had fun, made friends, learned how to fiddle, and created great art. Snoopy and Buh also came along for the ride.

Snoopy and Sherlock

A trip to IKEA for dinner resulted in endless nagging from H to buy this shark. Apparently, it is the star of many memes. While D and H were at the Go Congress, M and Geo went to IKEA to buy the shark. We named him Sherlock. Then Geo moped about not having one so we bought the smaller version. M wanted to name him Watson but got outvoted and now he is called Snoopy (?). M and Geo met D and H at the airport with them.
