Outdoor antics

Mommy finally nagged Daddy into doing something about last fall's leaves, so I generously decided to help. If I weren't around to assist, I don't know how those people would manage!

Yesterday's likes: Helping Daddy rake leaves, then jumping into the pile and forcing him to start over; practicing burps to make Mommy laugh; "stealing" fruit snacks from Mommy's pocket

Yesterday's dislikes: When Mommy admonished me not to eat my food like Cookie Monster

Yesterday's phrase/antic: When Mommy was shopping, I announced, "I wanna have happy birthday party!" Later in the evening, after I had time to think things over, I presented my case to Mommy and Daddy: "Caillou have happy birthday party. Dorothy the Dinosaur have happy birthday party. Nuri turn, have happy birthday party!"

Yesterday's likes: Trying all the riding mowers and vacuum cleaners at Lowe's

Yesterday's dislikes: Bedtime (it was a huge scream-and-barf fest!)

Yesterday's phrase/antic: My great-aunt Betsy sent a cool belated birthday present--a tapir! When Mommy first showed it to me, I cried, "Panda!" When Mommy said it wasn't a panda, I cried, "Elephant!" Finally, Mommy told me it was a tapir, and that it was a birthday present. I immediately replied, "I need more!" "More what?" "I need more happy birthday present!!!"

Mommy has detected my natural skills as an angler, so she got me some equipment to help me get started. Check out the catch of the day!

Cooking Chex Mix

Like Daddy, I am an amateur chef. Yesterday I experimented with some Chex mix concoctions. A little al dente, but otherwise quite yummy!
