Kindergarten story time: H vs. G edition

"Rainy Day" by Henry (ca. 2014) - "Once upon a time. Litning [lightning] . . . came. at 5:05. in a Hose [house]. a gint [giant] smacd [smacked] a . . . Pea! "I am a gint!" He said. Just then 100[,]009 water drops fell on . . . the gint !!!!!!!" (The blue text, including the "Good Job!," was added by George.)

"The Rocket That Flew to the Moon" by George - "Once upon a time a rockit [rocket] came at 5:05 pm. The rockit started to fly. Now it was in the aiy [air]. It landed on the moon. It was hot."

We had long admired Henry's story and its colorful imagery (especially a "gint" that "smacd" a pea). When it was George's turn to write a story, he paid homage to Henry's story with the 5:05 reference but kept his plot more mainstream.
