Geo got accepted into the youth orchestra! It will be a lot of driving but M is now a pro at long drives. One of the first performances will be the national anthem at a Rockies game.

H ran the BolderBoulder 10k with his friends today. He did great for a first timer. Maybe he inherited some of his father's running genes.

M and D ditched us to see M's crush, Augustin Hadelich, play the Brahms violin concerto.

Name change

H is alway misnaming our animals. For example, he claims Tabitha is named Typhoon and Tapir is named Tiffany. G and M retaliated by renaming Pompom Peter (Petey for short).

Then H struck back by renaming members of our family. Geo became Liam, M became Catherine, R became Tyler, and D became . . . Doug. 

For revenge, G and M renamed H Jeremy. 

Chillin' and grillin' with Buh and Pusheen

Geo and M recently went to Lowe's to buy (hideously expensive) grass seed. Buh came along for the ride and got himself into all sorts of trouble.

Later this week, Pusheen came to Geo's drum lesson.

Last night, we discovered Buh in Geo's cello case. He took a nap in there after Geo's cello lesson. It must have reminded him of his former home, Carlsbad Caverns.

Buh enjoys the drums, too.

Language nerd

Geo is still obsessed with languages. He is working on Hindi and also inventing his own languages. He is always engrossed in a notebook trying to work out his new languages. Here are some samples.

Meet Toby

We found a plush tapir online that we didn't already have, so M ordered it. Too bad he didn't arrive in time for World Tapir Day. He came from a church and is wearing a shirt telling us to pray for people in Asia. We guess that is a good thing to do for Asian heritage month.

Audition

Geo auditioned for a regional orchestra today. It was a last-minute decision and he didn't have much time to prepare. He was nervous but got through it and sounded great. We will hear back at the end of the month. 🥺🥺🥺
