This crew sure knows how to run up a dinner bill.

Geo's Cajon recital
Geo played his new cajon (Rancho Jubilee) and demonstrated some special effects. Only one more musical performance this year (M and D are going to play in an informal holiday concert on Saturday).

Geo's Cajon
Geo made a cool cajon with D. It lights up when you hit it. He played it with M at her violin recital today (Ragtime Dance). He is going to play it at his drum recital later this month.

FRYS concert
Geo played in his first FRYS concert earlier this week. Given the all-black dress code, M thought he looked like a waiter. Geo looked very serious while he was playing. The kids sounded great! Unfortunately, we weren't allowed to take pictures during the concert, but here are some post-concert shots.

Socal Adventures Part Deux
M decided we needed to do something educational so she dragged us to the Reagan Presidential Library. Geo complained it was full of propaganda about Ronald Reagan.
Friday we begged M to buy us the new Mario game. H went to Magic Mountain with Uncle Brian and lost his phone. M thought it was a scam to get a new phone. Then we went to visit Caltech and M discovered she hates Pasadena.
We didn't take many pictures from the rest of the trip, just a few cute snaps of Snoopy, Buh, and the gigantic nameless panda who lives with Halmoni. Geo got a much needed haircut, so the trip was overall a success.

Snoopy/Sherlock chronicles
The boys continue to be obsessed with their sharks, though M pointed out that Sherlock appears to be a deadbeat dad because he doesn't hang out with Snoopy. Hence, H is always trying to make it look like Sherlock is a good dad. Also, the sharks speak only German and a language called Sharklish that only Geo can understand.

Labor Day getaway
M felt stir crazy so she dragged us to the mountains this weekend. We went to Glenwood Caverns, an amusement park on the side of a mountain. We loved the ride that was a free fall, but M hated it. We also loved the roller coaster that went up vertically. Again, M was a party pooper. We explored a cave that had no bats, unfortunately. Then we checked out Sylvan Lake State Park.

Baby is 12!
Geo got back from his Oregon trip right around midnight, so we declared it was his birthday. When we got home, his antique pocket watch and chain were waiting on his desk. He is going to use them to hypnotize Snoopy to cure him of his biting habit.
M is depressed because age 12 is when the boys surpass her in height. (Geo has a ways to go at 4' 9" but the boys accuse her of inflating her height.)
Here are some pictures of our baby Geo throughout the years around his birthday.

Birthday boy
Geo traditionally has birthday cupcakes when he is in Bandon around his birthday. Here are his latest birthday cupcakes and a few blasts from the past.
