Symphony and another baby owl

Yesterday we ventured to the symphony for "Drums of the World," a percussion performance geared toward kids.

George brought a new friend, "Hooty Jr.," whom Mommy bought when the original Hooty went missing. George has previously lost Hooty at Beaver Creek and a music store, so we thought the same fate befell him. However, Mommy found the original Hooty during a massive search operation, so now we have double the microwavable owls we used to. (The same thing happened when George lost "original Baby Otis," which is how we ended up with "Colorful Baby Otis.")

Eclipse

Three months later, George still remembers our eclipse trip vividly and often speaks fondly of Gillette, the town we stayed in. Here is a picture he drew of our family watching the eclipse:

First gymnastics meet of the year

Richard was a little shaky on some of his events but showed great progress from last year. He placed 4th in his level/division!

Popplio Protection Squad

Henry and George continue to champion poor Popplio and have rallied their stuffed animals to join the "Popplio Protection Squad." Their meetings are quite realistic, with budget reports (inexplicably, the baby owls are the co-treasurers) and fundraising efforts, plus a strategic alliance with a "Dinosaur Protection Squad."

George made this helpful poster to promote their cause ("Popplio has feelings too").
