Sick days

Georgie had a fever and stayed home from school for three days. He is doing better, thanks in part to his little friends!

Pinewood Derby

George and Henry had their Pinewood Derby on Saturday! They both worked hard on their cars and did well, and George even won in his age group! He was inseparable from his trophy and insisted on traveling with it. He managed to hang onto his precious trophy even while napping...

"Hot fire" restaurant

Teppanyaki volcano - Colorado Springs 2017

Thar she blows!

To celebrate Richard's gymnastics performance and as an early birthday present, Mommy took him to a "hot fire" restaurant reminiscent of the one he went to in Charlottesville in 2007.

Skipudgets

Here are Richard and Henry enjoying a respite from a snowy day of skiing last weekend. We didn't get any action shots, but there was a lot of falling since it was our first time out this season. George rocked his ski lesson and went down the bunny slope like a pro!

Baby Otis

Baby Otis has been such a big hit that George wrote not one but two thank you notes to Mommy.

Child of the Week

George had his turn as "Child of the Week" in his kindergarten class. He shared a poster with 10 photographs, and five special items he brought from home (including three stuffed owls, all named Otis!). His classmates cooed over the baby owl especially. And when one of them asked how old Baby Otis is, George answered "2!" without skipping a beat.

Fish friends

Richard and Henry pooled their Christmas money and bought these two male betta fish and their fishy accoutrements. The fish are named Sun and Moon after the Pokemon games they got for Christmas (thanks Uncle Brian!).
