Car Talk

Lately, George has been obsessed with something unusual--automotive turn signals. At first, he noticed that some cars had turn signals on their side mirrors. He became obsessed with them and decided that they were the hallmark of a "fancy" car. He would point them out excitedly and declare he wanted us to have a fancy car like that.

Next, he started noticing that some cars went a step further and had flashing arrows on the side mirrors. These he declared to be "dotty arrows," and he has been reproducing them with his lite brite set to great effect. Now we refer to George as our "dotty angel" and admire all the dotty arrows, turn signals on side mirrors, and other random minutiae of cars that he has deigned to point out to us.

He can now recognize almost every make of car and is getting good with figuring out models, too. Maybe he has a future in the car industry!

Adventures in shopping

Mommy is being a grinch this year because of our upcoming expensive holiday vacation, so we had to content ourselves with playing with toys we wish we had. At least we looked adorable while we were at it!

Williams v. Amherst

We didn't watch the "Biggest Little Game in America" this year because we didn't have time, plus Williams football is not doing very well this year (and in fact, ended the season 0-8). But here is a collage of our favorite spiky-haired kid at the game in 2009, back when Williams was still a winning team.

Happy Halloween!

George came to Mommy's office for some trick or treating. He made out like a bandit and had fun posing with this fake racecar and leaving graffiti on Mommy's wall.
