RC boating adventures

We saved our allowance for weeks to buy this RC boat. It's a lot of fun, but the batteries don't last too long. Today, we took it out for a spin in this little lake and terrorized some ducks and minnows. Even George got to try it out and demanded that we buy three boats for everyone, and helpfully added that we would need 15 batteries to make that work. ("I got the math right!" he shouted triumphantly when Mommy deemed him to be correct.)

All wet

Our evening culminated in Georgie running through water features until he was soaking wet, then having to change into the only spare clothes we had on hand (Richard-sized, unfortunately).

Baby, you can drive my car

This evening, we checked out some classic cars at the local park, like this awesome 23-window VW bus. Of course, Peep was invited for the ride. (The prodigal Peep returned after being AWOL for the better part of the week--turns out he was hiding in the unfolded laundry.)

Polopudgets

Today we checked out a polo match, but we spent more time messing around with mini-golf than paying attention to the match.

Happy Father's Day (Part II)

Happy Father's Day (Part I)

George wants to wish all the dads out there a very happy Father's Day! (Play video here.)

Rocky Mountain National Park

Thanks to our great-aunt Betsy, we have an annual pass to visit all the National Parks. We used it today to visit Rocky Mountain National Park (sans Richard, who is at Boy Scout camp this week). We took a hike to Alberta Falls and enjoyed seeing chipmunks, deer, and even two moose! Thanks, Aunt Betsy!

Camppudgets

For the last two weeks, we have been going to an awesome adventure camp that takes us rock climbing, kayaking, and dirt biking. We come home filthy and exhausted (but never too exhausted to hassle George).

George's second graduation present

George had some money leftover from his graduation present fund (thanks, Halmoni!), so he got this little truck that he had fun racing while Richard was playing some recreational tennis.

Lily Pad Lake

The hot weather drove us into the mountains this afternoon. Mommy found us a nice, easy hike near Silverthorne. Here are the highlights.

Krispy Kreme visit

Richard has had a Krispy Kreme craving, which we finally indulged. George loved watching the doughnuts being made, especially when they flipped over. We got fresh donuts and tried out sugar, sprinkles, cinnamon, and sour cream flavors. Yum!

Eyes bigger than his stomach?

Peep Pudget

Once again, George showed his loyalty to Peep above all others.

George: Awww, I don't want you to get old and die!

Mommy: I don't want you to die, either.

George: Yeah, then who would take care of Peep!
