Breckenridge
On the last day of our trip, we took a little hike up to the Sawmill Creek Reservoir in Breckenridge. There was still plenty of snow on the ground, which made things slippery. There were tadpoles swimming around, at least until George and Henry started throwing things into the water. They sure have a talent for scaring off wildlife!
Rifle Creek State Park
In their continued efforts to tire us out, Mommy and Daddy took us on a hike to Rifle Creek Falls, which not only features a triple waterfall but also really cool caves!

Maroon Bells
After Aspen, we took a short detour to see the much-vaunted Maroon Bells. Richard appreciated the scenery, but his brothers were more intent on throwing things into the lake.
Leadville hike
Hiking at over 10,000 ft. is supposed to be a challenge, but apparently not for these boys! We took a nature hike to Evergreen Lakes after a fun visit to the Leadville Fish Hatchery.
Aspen Mountain
We took a long (and expensive!) gondola ride up Aspen mountain. The boys claimed a car to themselves, giving Mommy and Daddy a blissful half-hour of boy-free time to enjoy the view. There were plenty of skiiers and snowboarders, and we encountered snow on our drive from Leadville. That's summer in Colorado for you!

Rainbow pudgets
Our trip to the mountains involved rain, snow, and sunshine. We finally made our destination and enjoyed this rainbow during dinner. Tomorrow we hit Leadville and Aspen if all goes according to plan.
Cap and gown
Richard didn't get a graduation ceremony for fifth grade but Georgie got one for his "brand new schools" (what he calls his daycare). We made sure his Peep didn't miss the ceremony. (On a side note, when we donated to Children's Hospital at Costco, Mommy asked Georgie to write his name on the balloon, and he wrote, "PEEP" instead.)

More Baby George
Warning: Mommy is waxing nostalgic about George's formerly plump cheeks and will continue to post pictures of them until she's had her fill.

Braille trail
One of our favorite hikes is the Braille trail in Genesee Park. It's designed for the blind, so there are guide cables and lots of signs in Braille. Here we are, striking a pose on a bench.

Sultan of Swing
The highlight of Richard's fifth grade performance was swing dancing to "In the Mood."

Yankee Doodler
Richard's art class displayed their doodles at a local coffee shop. We got to enjoy smoothies, snacks, and artwork. We think it's a little Salvador Dali-esque, with a hint of Magritte.
Go Henry!
Henry has been diligently working on collecting Accelerated Reader points and ended up getting the most in his entire grade! Now he gets to go to a special ice cream party. Go Henrykins!!!

Red Rocks
On the last nice weekend (seems like a long time ago), we finally ventured to Red Rocks to see what the fuss was about. It is very cool and filled with fitness freaks doing things like handstand pushups. Here is our attempt to fit in: Run Pudget Run!
Videos take 2
I know some people are having trouble viewing the videos on Apple devices, so let's try this again:

Jail birds
Henry enjoyed a trip to the Denver Police Department with his Cub Scout troop, including a stint in a jail cell. Hopefully that's the last time he'll see the inside of one of those!
