Spectator sport

Here is Georgie's insightful commentary about the swordfight we had in the kitchen after dinner.

And here is our (carefully choreographed) swordfight!

Sweater season

Mommy has been using the chilly winter weather as an excuse to dress Georgie up in ridiculously cute sweaters.  Here's a sampling!

Back from hiatus!

I recently met with some technical difficulties with the blog, but nothing that could not be surmounted with the help of the Google.  To add more pictures for free (since Mommy is such a cheapskate), I had to come up with a new identity--so now Henry and I are joining forces and blogging collectively as The Pudgets!  Henceforth, we shall be using the "royal we" to refer to ourselves (entirely appropriate given our regal names).

To whet your appetite for new posts, we present the following adorable picture of George that Richard turned into a cute Christmas card for his teacher.

Look out in the coming days for more pictures, we promise!

Love,
Richard & Henry

Nostradamus Pudget

Last weekend at OMSI, Mommy was reading an article about the Cascadia earthquake that's supposed to happen in our area.  When we asked her when the earthquake would come, she said, "It could be tomorrow, or it could be in 200 years.  We just don't know when it will happen."

The next morning, Henry solemnly announced to Daddy, "Daddy, there's either going to be an earthquake today, or it's going to be in 200 years."

Later that evening, after a day with no earthquake, he decided the coast was clear: "Daddy, I think the earthquake is going to be in 200 years!"

Pushing buttons

At the home show a few months ago, I was pushing random buttons on every hot tub on display, to the vendors' chagrin.  After mommy chided me to stop pushing the buttons, I chimed in, "Except yours?"

Cute observations

Henry has been on a roll lately.  Here are his cutest recent observations:

1) Henry:  How much younger than you is your brother?
Mom:  About 7 years.
Henry:  Then he's 27 years old!
Mom:  How did you know that?
Henry (triumphantly):  MATH!!!

2) Henry (looking at George):  Remember last summer, when our lives were so much easier?

Water fight

Today, while Daddy toiled with the leaves and Mommy endured a wiggly George, we had a blast playing with our squirt toys.

Happy Halloween!

Last week we went trick-or-treating with Grandma & Papa.  Henry rejected all three of his new costumes in favor of my old Obi-Wan costume.  I rocked my Scribblenauts costume, which arrived just in the nick of time from the Internet.  Georgie was Santa Claus because Mommy couldn't find his devil hat.  We had a great time, and now we have tons more sugar to fuel us in the coming months!

Huckleberry Pest?

Mommy and Daddy often say that George's droopy eyes remind them of a certain cartoon character--see for yourself!

Oxbow Regional Park

Today, Daddy wanted to try something new, so we checked out Oxbow Regional Park on the Sandy River.  We had a picnic, hung out at the playground, and hit the beach.  Yet another great weekend during the brief sunny season here in Portland!

Flat Stanley project

I've been reading Flat Stanley at school, so I got to take him home for a week and hang out with him.  Here are some pictures of our adventures!

Mt. Tabor Park

Yesterday we hung out at Mt. Tabor Park, which is on a volcano in Portland.  We asked Mommy a hundred times whether it would erupt while we were on it.  Luckily, it didn't!
